PS5 price vs Xbox Series X price.

Microsoft was the first to reveal the price for its console: $ 500 for the Xbox Series X. This is the same price that launched the Xbox One, in 2013. If that's a lot, there is also the Xbox Series S for $ 300, Or Xbox All Access Program, which lets you fund the Xbox Series X for $ 35 a month.

Xbox Series X will launch on November 10, and pre-orders will begin on September 22.

Sony announced the price and release date for the PS5 during a live broadcast on September 16th. The system will be released on November 12 in select regions (including the United States, Canada, New Zealand, and Australia), and November 19 globally. The complete PS5 with a drive will cost $ 500, while the PS5 digital version will cost $ 400. Prices also vary slightly depending on the region.

However, the bottom line is that the full-featured PS5 and Xbox Series X will cost the same; The Xbox Series S is the cheapest of the new consoles, and the PS5 Digital Edition is somewhere in the middle.

PS5 vs Xbox Series X Exclusives.

After the Xbox games premiered on July 23, we have a better idea of what to expect from the Xbox Series X in terms of exclusivity. Halo Infinite is still the platform's biggest title (although it won't be available at launch), but we'll also have Senua's Saga: Hellblade II. The surprising revelation of Fable 4 means Xbox fans will eventually have a new entry in the popular fantasy franchise, but it likely won't be a launch title. Forza Motorsport 8 and State of Decay 3 will also make their way to Xbox Series X. The former is the latest in a long line of high-definition racing games; The latter is a survival game in an open world surrounded by zombies.

One of the interesting things about Xbox Series X exclusives is that, strictly speaking, they are not console exclusive at all. Every Xbox Series X game will also be available from the first-party studio for the PC. Plus, they'll all be available for the Xbox One, at least for the foreseeable future. Microsoft seems to prioritize the ecosystem over the individual console.

PS5 image processing vs. Xbox Series X.

First, let's take a look at the devices involved. There doesn't seem to be much difference between CPUs, although the Xbox Series X is a bit faster. The processing power of the GPU - 10.3 teraflops for PS5 and 12 teraflops for Xbox Series X - looks a bit more pronounced. Teraflop refers to the number of operations per second a piece of hardware can handle. Since one teraflop can represent 10 ^ 12 operations per second, a difference of 1.7 can represent a significant difference in graphics.

But also remember: just because the GPU delivers 12 teraflops of computing power, that doesn't necessarily mean every single game will take full advantage of it. It also depends on how optimized the game is, particularly the third-party games which should offer relative parity between the PS5 and Xbox Series X releases.

SSDs can also have a big impact on game performance. Since both devices will come with built-in hard drives, games should load faster than before. But so far, Sony has only provided specific details about how fast the SSD will load for games, and how the PS5 compares to the SSDs currently on the market. This is another metric that will likely vary from game to game.

For now, we'll say both systems look very powerful, and the Xbox Series X has a potential advantage, especially when it comes to rendering graphics.

PS5 design vs Xbox Series X design.

The Xbox Series X features a somewhat conservative design. Microsoft's next console will resemble a vertical computer tower, with a sleek black body and a tasteful mini Xbox logo in the upper-left corner. There is a drive at the front of the console as well. Everything looks nice geometric, and you'll also be able to place it horizontally, in case your entertainment center doesn't have enough vertical space.

The design of the PS5 is completely different. Sony's next-generation console looks like a circular black rectangle, framed by two white fins that converge roughly in a triangle-down pattern.

Backward compatibility for PS5 versus backward compatibility for Xbox Series X

Both Sony and Microsoft have been very open about how backward compatibility works on their systems. For now, the Xbox Series X appears to have more powerful options, but the PS5 should have a lot of older games to play as well.

Microsoft has promised that every Xbox One game will be compatible with Xbox Series X. Moreover, Microsoft's smart delivery system ensures that if you purchase an Xbox One game also available on Xbox Series X, you will automatically get the Xbox Series X Edition once you upgrade your console. Your. Additionally, select Xbox 360 games and original Xbox games will also work with the system. (If a Xbox 360 or original Xbox game is currently running on Xbox One, it will also work on Xbox Series X.) This is very clear.

Another potential benefit of the Xbox Series X is that it will run many backwards compatible games better than their original systems. Microsoft is committed to upgrading some of their favorite old titles, making them work in 4K or even 120fps resolution. While it is not yet clear which games will get this treatment, it is safe to say that at least a few of the old games will look and play well.

Sony's approach is less realistic. The PS5 will use some kind of universal software to play PS4 games on PS5. Gaming optimizations optimized for the PS4 Pro will still be implemented. But since the program is such a comprehensive application, it cannot be guaranteed that every title will work well.

Although Sony has never made backward compatibility other than PS4, it now seems clear that PS1, PS2 and PS3 games will not work on PS5. A post on Ubisoft's support page states that while PS5 owners will have the ability to upgrade some of their PS4 titles, there is no such possibility for PS1, PS2 or PS3 titles. Again, "full backward compatibility" isn't a function Sony has ever announced, but it's good to get confirmation.
